Obiettivi formativi
Sul piano delle motivazioni, il corso si propone di suscitare negli studenti l'interesse per il metodo scientifico d'indagine, per la metodologia della ricerca e per la medicina basata sulle prove di efficacia
in terms of motivations, the course aims to inspire students in the interest in the scientific method of investigation, for the research methodology and for evidence-based medicine.

- Lo studente dovrà acquisire le conoscenze di base dell'igiene e i fondamenti di demografia e dell'epidemiologia, con particolare riferimento al concetto di salute e malattia, di prevenzione e di educazione sanitaria .
- Lo studente dovrà acquisire le conoscenze di base dell'informatica e i principi del trattamento delle informazioni.
Il sistema informativo e il sistema informativo sanitario; componenti di base di un calcolatore, tecnologie informatiche in ambito sanitario, i sistemi operativi.
- Lo studente deve essere in grado di formulare un quesito clinico -assistenziale e ricercare le risposte in letteratura, utilizzando le principali banche dati biomediche.
- Lo studente dovrà saper interpretare e commentare correttamente i dati presentati in articoli scientifici e i risultati tratti da studi epidemiologici. Saper applicare i principali metodi inferenziali, costruire, leggere ed interpretare curve, grafici e tabelle.The student will have to acquire the basic knowledge of:
- hygiene and the fundamentals of demography and epidemiology, with particular reference to the concept of health and disease, prevention and health education;
- basic knowledge of information technology and principles of information processing;
- the main characteristics and peculiarities of information systems and information systems in the health sector;
- the basic components of a computer, health information technology, operating systems.
- The student must be able to formulate a clinical-assistential question and search for answers in the literature, using the main biomedical databases.
- The student must be able to correctly interpret and comment the data presented in scientific articles and the results obtained from epidemiological studies. Knowing how to apply the main inferential methods, build, read and interpret curves, graphs and tables.

Modalità di insegnamento
A seconda dell'emergenza Coronavirus: lezioni frontali in aula se possibile, altrimenti lezioni in modalità telematica o mista (totale 60 ore - 12 ore per Igiene, 24 ore per Statistica Medica e per la Ricerca e 24 ore di Informatica).
Le lezioni frontali sono supportate da presentazione in PPT ed integrate con didattica di complemento.
Depending on the Coronavirus emergency: traditional lessons in a classroom if possible, otherwise distant learning lessons or mixed modality (total amount of 60 hours - 12 hours for Hygiene, 24 hours for Medical Statistics and for Research and 24 hours of Computer Science).
The frontal lessons are supported by presentation in PPT and integrated with complementary teaching.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
Per ciascuna attività formativa indicata è previsto un accertamento conclusivo e certificativo alla fine del periodo in cui si è svolta l'attività. Per gli insegnamenti articolati in moduli la valutazione finale del profitto è unitaria e collegiale. Con il superamento dell'esame o della verifica lo studente consegue i CFU attribuiti all'attività formativa in oggetto.
La prova d'esame sarà composta da tre prove scritte con domande aperte o a scelta multipla ed esercizi.
La valutazione finale espressa in trentesimi sarà il risultato della media pesata in base ai crediti dei tre moduli.
For each training activity indicated, a conclusive and certification assessment is required at the end of the period in which the activity took place. For the modules divided into modules the final evaluation of the profit is unitary and collegial. By passing the exam or the exam, the student obtains the credits assigned to the training activity in question.
The exam will consist of three written tests with open or multiple-choice questions and exercises.
The final evaluation expressed in thirtieths will be the result of the weighted average based on the credits of the three modules.
